Il Cast si fa sempre più ricco: ancora 7 talenti in competizione al Festival.
Russia, Ucraina, Finlandia, Kirghizistaned Italia sono le nazioni di provenienza dei 7 artisti ammessi oggi a partecipare alla imminente diciassettesima edizione dell’International Circus Festival of Italy in scena a Latina tra una settimana. Le discipline presentate, verticali, hula-hoop, bolle di sapone, laser-show, balestra, giocoleria e barra russa confermano quel mix di tradizione ed innovazione che da sempre è la chiave del successo della kermesse italiana dedicata al Circo.
Laserman! Un nome d’arte assai emblematico, quello del giovane artista italiano, che accende subito nello spettatore l’aspettativa di poter assistere ad uno show dalla particolare connotazione tecnologica. E di fatto, “Laserman Air Drone Show” è lo spettacolo che in 4 minuti pone al centro della pista due presìdi tecnologici di ultima generazione: i droni ed i laser.Laserman ha intrapreso la carriera artistica nel 2006 e, nel corso degli anni, ha partecipato ad eventi e manifestazioni di caratura internazionale. Il suo show è una sorta di battaglia tecnologica capace di creare illusioni attraverso la “manipolazione” dei raggi laser e le sorprendenti traiettorie percorse dal volo dei droni. 
Marco Zoppi è un giovane artista italiano. Nel 1995 ha iniziatocome autodidatta ad apprendere le basi della magiae, da allora, ha calcato i palcoscenici di molti fra i più noti varietà, teatri e spettacoli televisivi nel mondo.Può vantare di aver incantato il pubblico di teatri italiani storici quali il “Quirino” ed il “Vittoria” di Roma, il “Sannazzaro” a Napoli, il “Dehon” a Bologna ed il “Teatro Alfieri” di Firenze. La sua specialità sono le bolle di sapone tanto che, lo scorso anno, Marco Zoppi ha conseguito il “Merlin Award” quale miglior artista europeo che si esibisca con le bolle di sapone dalla “International MagiciansSociety” di New York.Il suo segreto? Mescolare magia e bolle di sapone. Al suo fianco l’artista lituana Rolanda Sabaliauskaite. 
Nata a Kiev in Ucraina nel 2004, Valeriia, neppure undicenne, è la più giovane artista ammessa quest’anno alla competizione del Festival. Già all’età di 4 anni, la piccola Valeriia ha iniziato a frequentare la scuola di Circo ma, sebbene così giovane, può già vantare tre partecipazioni di successo al famoso “Golden Trick of Kobzov”. La sua specialità sono le verticali, un numero classico del Circo che, tuttavia, Valeriia presenta con la freschezza e la sorprendente flessibilità che le sono proprie. 
AlexeyChaynikov è un artista proveniente dalla Russia. Assistere ad una sua performance avrebbe entusiasmato gli antichi matematici alla ricerca della costante : il cerchio, infatti, è al centro di una esibizione nella quale la figura geometrica diventa un sorprendente strumento di giocoleria: l’hula-hoop.Se, tradizionalmente, l’hula-hoop viene fatto ruotare attorno al bacino, con AlexeyChaynikov ogni parte del corpo diviene il fulcro di rotazioni sorprendenti, anche il naso! Nella sua esibizione Alexey mescola con evidente esperienza le sue competenze tecniche con le abilità mimiche e teatrali. 
Erkin Saralaev è figlio d’arte: la sua famiglia è tutta coinvolta nel mondo del Circo. Al Festival di Latina rappresenta la Repubblica del Kirghizistan, uno Stato indipendente dell’Asia centrale al confine con la Cina. Aveva solo 9 anni quando debuttò in pista come acrobata ma ben presto intraprese la giocoleria, una disciplina che gli ha consentito di esibirsi in molti circhi in tutto il mondo. Il titolo della sua performance è “Power of attraction”: in questo numero il giovane Erkin presenta le sue doti tecniche in modo divertente ed autoironico. 
La Troupe Lebedkov consiste di 8 giovani artisti provenienti dalla Russia. Presentano un numero di barra russa, una fra le discipline circensi più complesse e pericolose. La forza elastica prodotta dalla deformazione delle barre insieme all’abilità dei “porteur” sono il motore delle evoluzioni aeree delle “agili”: triplo salto mortale, doppio salto in plancia e i salti da una barra all’altra sono solo alcuni dei passaggi acrobatici più spettacolari della performance. Il numero, creato quest’anno sotto la direzione di Vladimir Stikhanovskiy, evoca atmosfere tibetane anche grazie alla particolare colonna sonora.
Martii e Lina sono una giovane coppia di artisti provenienti dalla Finlandia. Hanno iniziato a lavorare nel Circo nel 1999 e da allora hanno calcato le piste dei più noti circhi scandinavi ma anche del celeberrimo RinglingBros and Barnum & Bailey negli USA.Martii e Lina presentano un numero di balestra, l’antichissima arma da lancio, in una chiave moderna ed inconsueta: l’indubbia componente di rischio della performance è gestita con audace temerarietà dal lanciatore all’interno di una coreografia che prevede anche passaggi di acrobatica aerea.

Countdown: - 8 days to the Festival
The cast of the Festival continues to grow: 7 more competing performers announced.
The seven artists announced today come from Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Finland, and Kyrgyzstan to take part in the upcoming seventeenth edition of the International Circus Festival of Italy, which will take place in Latina in a week’s time. The discplines that they represent, hand balance, hula hoop, soap bubbles, laser show, crossbow, juggling and Russian Bar confirm the mix of tradition and innovation that has always helped make this Italian Circus event such a success.
Laserman! This is the stage name of a young Italian artist that immediately lights up our expectations of a high-tech show, and in 4 minutes of the ‘Laserman Air Drone Show’ that is just what happens as two state-of-the-art examples of modern technology take centre stage with the performer: drones and lasers. Laserman began his artistic career in 2006, and has performed at many international events since then. His spectacular number involves the manipulation of laser rays and the use of drones to create special lighting effects.
Marco Zoppi is a young Italian performer. He started to learn the basics of magic in 1995, and since then has performed in many theatres and variety shows around the world as well as on TV. He has performed at the ‘Quirino’ and ‘Vittoria’ theatres in Rome, the ‘Sannazzaro’ in Naples, the ‘Dehon’ in Bologna, and the ‘Teatro Alfieri’ in Florence. His speciality is soap bubbles, and last year he won the Merlin Award at the ‘International Magicians Society’ of New York for best European soap bubble performer. His secret? A mixture of magic and bubbles. He is accompanied in his number by Lithuanian performer Rolanda Sabaliauskaite.
Born in Kiev, Ukraine in 2014, Valeriia, who not yet eleven years old, is the youngest competing performer at this year’s Festival. She started training in circus school at the tender age of 4, and despite her youth has already appeared three times at the famous ‘Golden Trick of Kobzov’. Her speciality is hand balance, a classic circus discipline that she presents with the freshness of a child and with extreme agility and suppleness.
Alexey Chaynikov is a performer from Russia, whose act revolves around a number of hula hoops. Usually we’re used to seeing the hula hoop spinning around a performer’s waist, but Alexey Chaynikov twirls hoops around many different parts of his body, sometimes using several hoops simultaneously, and he even manages to use his nose! In his energetic performance he displays a keen sense of theatre as well as strong technical skills.
Erkin Saralaev is representing the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, an independent State in central Asia that borders with China, at the Festival. Circus runs in his family, and he was only 9 when he made his début as an acrobat, but he soon switched to juggling, a discipline that has seen him perform in many circuses around the world. His number is called ‘Power of Attraction’ and he presents it with humour and verve.
Troupe Lebedkov is composed of 8 young performers from Russia. They are presenting a Russian Bar number, one of the most difficult and dangerous of all circus disciplines. The ‘jumper’ is propelled into the air by the flexibility of the bars themselves and the ability of the performers who hold them: double and triple somersaults and flying jumps that go from one bar to another are just a few of the spectacular acrobatics present in this number, which was created this year by Vladimir Stikhanovskiy, and which evokes Tibetan themes with its unusual music.
Martii e Lina are a young pair of artists from Finland. They started working in the Circus in 1999, and since then have performed in Scandinavia’s top circuses as well as in the renowned Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in the USA. Martii and Lina are presenting a crossbow performance, using the traditional weapon in a new and unusual way, with an exciting element of risk in a number that includes acrobatic aerials. da Ufficio Stampa |
