Ufficializzata la partecipazione di Russia ed Ungheria alla tredicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”. Nel mondo del Circo internazionale è grande l’attesa per conoscere il cast della tredicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”. La produzione del Festival conferma la consuetudine, già avviata lo scorso anno, di rivelare di settimana in settimana gli esiti dei lavori di selezione degli artisti ammessi alla prossima edizione. Ai tre numeri già annunciati, il “mano a mano” del duo rumeno Ballance, la “corda oscillante” dell’artista greca Anastasia, ed il numero di “volanti” degli italiani Flying Martini, si aggiungono oggi gli ungheresi Sick 7 Crew, ed il russo Yury Tikhonovich. I Sick 7 Crew sono cinque giovani artisti ungheresi di età compresa tra i 23 ed i 32 anni. I Sick 7 Crew presentano un numero di “break dance”, una disciplina di ballo vicina alla cultura hip hop, sviluppatasi presso le comunità giovanili afro-americane e latino-americane del Bronx a partire dal 1968. La troupe, fondata nel 2007, ha già conseguito importanti affermazioni in competizioni di ballo ma è alla sua prima partecipazione ad un Festival del Circo. Energia, coordinamento ed equilibrio sono le più evidenti caratteristiche di una performance che, aldilà delle qualità artistiche, si propone di presentare i tratti di una cultura così particolare da divenire, per alcuni, stile di vita. Il giovane artista russo Yury Tikhonovich porta in pista un numero di “verticalismo” intitolato “Odissea”. Nato in Siberia, Yuri ha intrapreso i suoi studi nelle discipline dello sport e della ginnastica per approdare successivamente al mondo del Circo all’interno di una troupe di trapezisti. In “Odissea”, il vento, una vela ed i colori del mare fanno da cornice ad un’elegante performance nella quale Yuri Tikhonovich evoca le gesta di un uomo in viaggio: una condizione che rappresenta la sua voglia di evadere, di conoscere, di sfidare l'ignoto. Alcuni passaggi dell’esibizione sono già valsi all’artista russo il “Guinness World Record” nella categoria “flessioni in verticale su un braccio”.

Two new numbers added to the International Circus Festival Representatives from Russia and Hungary confirmed for the thirteenth edition of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”. The international Circus world is keen to know who will be participating in the thirteenth edition of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”. The production office, following last year’s procedure, will be releasing the names of the selected participating artists on a week by week basis. Today we are pleased to announce the addition of two more numbers to the three already announced last week (Ballance with a hand to hand number, Anastasia with her Cloud Swing number and the Flying Martini acrobats). The new numbers are Hungarians Sick 7 Crew and Russian Yury Tikhonovich. The Sick 7 Crew are five young Hungarian performers whose ages range from 23 to 32. Sick 7 Crew will be presenting a “break dance” number, a dance discipline born alongside the Hip Hop culture, which developed in the Afro-American community of the Bronx from 1968 onwards. The troupe, which was founded in 2007, has already earned accolades in dance competitions, but this is their first presence at a Circus Festival. Energy, coordination and balance are the key elements to a performance which, over and above the artistic side, promises to show aspects of a cultural style which has become, for some, a way of life. The Young Russian artist Yury Tikhonovich will be performing a “verticalism” number called “Odissea”. Born in Siberia, Yuri began his studies in sport and gymnastics, later entering the world of the Circus in a trapeze troupe. In “Odissea”, the wind, a sail and the colours of the sea frame an elegant performance in which Yuri Tikhonovich evokes the gestures of a traveller: a situation that displays his desire to escape, to learn, and to challenge the unknown. Some parts of the performance have already earnt the Russian artist a Guinness World Record for “vertical push-ups on one arm”.
