Annunciati i primi due progetti che impreziosiscono la programmazione dell’imminente dodicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” in scena dal 14 al 18 Ottobre prossimi. Il Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”, in quanto crocevia di persone diverse per nazionalità, cultura, religione, lingua si presta a diventare motivo e luogo di incontro interculturale. Allo scopo di far sentire accolti gli artisti partecipanti al Festival dai giovani della città di Latina, i volontari della locale Associazione “L’Aquilone” si occuperanno di proporre ai loro coetanei provenienti dai 5 continenti una serie di iniziative a carattere interculturale. Dal 14 al 18 Ottobre tutti i giorni nel foyer del Circo, nelle ore di permanenza degli artisti nell’area del Festival, sarà attivo il servizio “Artists Welcome Staff” già operativo online su Facebook: uno spazio per l’incontro, lo scambio e l’amicizia tra giovani di Latina e giovani artisti. Di giorno in giorno saranno proposte piccole attività sia interne all’area del Festival che sul territorio per contribuire a creare un clima di accoglienza e di integrazione fra tutti i giovani presenti. Uno speciale premio sarà assegnato dai volontari de “L’Aquilone” all’artista che nei giorni del Festival si sarà meglio integrato con i giovani di Latina. In occasione della sua XII edizione, il Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”, in collaborazione con i giovani volontari dell’Associazione di Volontariato “L’Aquilone”, spalanca le porte del magico tendone, dei suoi spettacoli e del suo “backstage” a tutti i diversamente abili. Il Festival desidera offrire loro la possibilità di “vivere un sogno”, di confrontarsi con una dimensione speciale della realtà, provando a valicare, sia pure per qualche ora, i limiti ed i confini spesso imposti dalla quotidianità. In occasione degli spettacoli di Sabato 16 Ottobre alle ore 16.30 e di Domenica 17 Ottobre alle ore 15.30 saranno ammessi a titolo gratuito alcuni ospiti diversamente abili ai quali sarà riservato uno spazio dedicato. L’accoglienza, l’accompagnamento e l’assistenza ai posti durante lo spettacolo saranno garantiti dai giovani volontari de “L’Aquilone”. 12th International Circus Festival “City of Latina” Latina, 14th- 18th October 2010 www.festivalcircolatina.com Press Release N° 21 – September 24th 2010 Countdown: - 20 days Intercultural activities with the youth of Latina for the young artists present at the Festival and open doors for the differently abled. The first two projects which will be enriching the programme of the upcoming twelfth edition of the International Circus Festival ”City of Latina”, which will take place from October 14th to 18th, are announced today. The International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, in its capacity as an international crossroads for young people of diverse and varied nationalities, cultures, religions and languages, offers a unique opportunity for cultural interaction and activities. With the hope of making all the participating and guest artists feel at home during their stay in Latina, the young volunteers of the association ”L’Aquilone” will be proposing and hosting various initiatives to welcome the young artists arriving here from all over the world. From the 14th to the 18th of October, in the Foyer area, our guests will find the “Artists Welcome Staff” (already working on Facebook). This aims to be a space for young people of all the nations present to meet, interact and make new friends, both amongst our performers and also with the young people of Latina. Activities will be organised on a day-to-day basis, both within the Circus Village area and also in the larger context of the city of Latina and further afield, promoting friendship and interaction amongst all the young people present. A special prize will be awarded by the young volunteers of the “L’Aquilone” organisation to the performer who our young volunteers vote as the person who best integrated with the young people of Latina during the Festival. During this its 12th edition, the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, and with the assistance of the young volunteers of the “L’Aquilone” Association, once again raises the curtain of its magical Big Top shows to differently abled guests. The Festival offers the chance for these guests to ‘live a dream’ in a different and special dimension, giving them a few hours in a world that draws their imagination beyond the reality and confines of daily life. To this end, the Festival is offering some free places at selected shows, located in a dedicated area, for the exclusive use of differently abled guests. These guests will be received, accompanied and assisted during the show by the young volunteers from “L’Aquilone”.
