“Circus Expo” è il titolo di uno degli eventi collaterali che avranno luogo a Latina dal 14 al 18 Ottobre 2010 in occasione della dodicesima edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”. “Circus Expo” si inserisce nel novero delle iniziative culturali proposte dal Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”. Il progetto ha lo scopo di presentare all’opinione pubblica le numerose e varie implicazioni della cultura circense nelle più differenti modalità espressive delle arti e della comunicazione. In tal modo il Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” si propone di ampliare la propria offerta culturale ad un pubblico sempre più ampio. “Circus Expo” è uno spazio espositivo di 1000 metri quadrati realizzato all’interno di una tensostruttura attigua all’impianto che ospita gli spettacoli del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”. All’interno di “Circus Expo” viene offerta la possibilità di esporre i propri lavori a tema circense ad artisti di varia estrazione. Sono particolarmente attese mostre fotografiche, dipinti, sculture, plastici o modellini, reportage, e tutto quanto nelle più differenti forme dell’arte possa evocare o rappresentare il mondo del Circo. La partecipazione di artisti ed espositori a “Circus Expo” va intesa come libera: non comporta oneri per chi vi partecipa, né comporta alcun compenso. La mostra sarà allestita nella giornata di mercoledì 13 Ottobre, inaugurata giovedì 14 Ottobre e chiusa lunedì 18 Ottobre in occasione della finale del Festival. Nella candidatura, oltre ai propri contatti, l’interessato dovrà precisare: a quale area artistica si riferiscono i lavori che intenda esporre (fotografia, dipinti, ecc.), la superficie richiesta ed eventuali necessità per lo spazio espositivo. Oltre tale data non saranno più prese in considerazione eventuali ulteriori candidature. La produzione del Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina” avrà cura di contattare tempestivamente ciascun candidato per definire ogni aspetto logistico relativo al progetto.
12th International Circus Festival“City of Latina” Latina, 14th- 18th October 2010 www.festivalcircolatina.com Press Release N°12 - June 22nd 2010 Countdown: 144 daysIntroducing "Circus Expo" "Circus Expo" is the name of a new addition to the list of events planned for the upcoming 12th International Circus Festival "City of Latina", which will take place between 14th -18th October 2010. "Circus Expo" is a new initiative among the cultural events planned to coincide with the International Circus Festival at Latina. The purpose of this new project is to showcase various artworks and media that have as their inspiration the world of the circus, in the hope of broadening the appeal of the International Circus Festival to an even wider public. "Circus Expo" will consist of a large tented structure with an internal exhibition space of 1000 sqm, located right next to the site of the International Circus Festival "City of Latina". Within this exposition area, artists from varying fields will have the opportunity to exhibit their circus-themed creations. Photographic collections, paintings, sculptures, models and miniatures will be particularly welcome, along with other arts and crafts which evoke, represent or are inspired by the world of the circus. Participation will be free: there will be no cost to artists and presenters for exhibiting, and nor will there be any payment to them for their presence. The exhibition will be set up on Wednesday, 13th October, and officially opened on Thursday 14th October. It will close on the last day of the Festival: Monday, October 18th. NO LATER THAN FRIDAY JULY 23rd, stating, as well as name and contact details, in what artistic medium they will be exhibiting (photographs, paintings, sculpture etc), how much space they require, and any other needs or requirements to be considered. Please note that requests arriving after the above date will not be taken into consideration.
