L'Associazione Culturale "Giulio Montico", organizzatrice e produttrice dell'International Circus Festival of Italy - Città di Latina, comunica che l'attesa diciannovesima edizione del Festival si terrà nell'anno 2018.

Nel corso della sua storia quasi ventennale, l'International Circus Festival of Italy - Città di Latina ha conseguito prestigio e popolarità tali che, operatori di settore, artisti ed appassionati di Circo, annoverino la manifestazione tra quelle di più alto profilo artistico e culturale al mondo. Le edizioni più recenti del Festival hanno lasciato traccia indelebile nella memoria di quanti, dai cinque continenti, hanno raggiunto la città di Latina per assistere al meglio della produzione circense internazionale. La stessa città di Latina, nei giorni del Festival, ha registrato un significativo incremento del flusso turistico con le evidenti implicazioni del caso.

Il mantenimento di tali altissimi standard qualitativi, tuttavia, rende indispensabile un nuovo e marcato coinvolgimento di più attori all’interno della macchina organizzativa: partnership ed istituzionalizzazioni sono, pertanto, due passaggi ad oggi ineludibili allo scopo di rendere più corale, partecipata e foriera di opportunità, l’organizzazione di un Festival dalle notevoli implicazioni culturali. In tal senso, l'Associazione Culturale "Giulio Montico", organizzatrice e produttrice dell'International Circus Festival of Italy - Città di Latina, ha ritenuto opportuno sospendere l’edizione 2017 del Festival per impiegare l’anno corrente alla definizione di un comitato organizzatore affidabile ed efficace sia pure nella consapevolezza della complessità delle contingenze amministrative dei vari Enti pubblici italiani che hanno abitualmente sostenuto il Festival nelle sue passate edizioni.

Al grande rammarico per lo "stop" inatteso e non desiderato, che immaginiamo sarà condiviso dai tanti appassionati di cultura e tradizione circense in tutto il mondo, intendiamo far seguire un nuovo slancio che, con entusiasmo e determinazione, ci proietti all’Ottobre 2018 per la diciannovesima edizione dell'International Circus Festival of Italy – Città di Latina.

Agli artisti, agli operatori di settore, a quanti a vario titolo abbiano a cuore il Festival, ed a tutto il pubblico, il ringraziamento per le continue attestazioni di stima ed apprezzamento che ci giungono e l'invito a perseverare nella passione per il Circo e la sua antica tradizione nella certezza di ritrovarci tutti nel 2018 accomunati da quello spirito di pace, condivisione ed amicizia che il Circo è capace di suggerire.

The ‘Giulio Montico’ Cultural Association, organiser and producer of the International Circus Festival of Italy – City of Latina, hereby announces that the 19^th edition of the Festival will now take place in 2018.

The International Circus Festival of Italy – City of Latina, over a period of nearly twenty years, has grown and evolved into such a popular and prestigious event that experts in the field, performers, and Circus fans all consider it to be one of the best artistic and cultural events in the world.

Recent editions of the Festival have left unforgettable memories in the minds of those who have travelled to Latina from all five continents of the world to see the very finest examples of international Circus production. The city of Latina has also itself benefitted from a marked increase in tourism during the period of the Festival, with all that that implicates for the city.

In order to maintain the very high standards that characterise this event, however, it has become increasingly necessary to involve more players in the organisational aspect of the Festival: partnerships and cooperation with institutional authorities are, therefore, two essential steps that are required in order to produce a culturally significant Festival whose key features are unity, involvement, and opportunity.

In view of this, the “Giulio Montico” Cultural Association, organiser and producer of the International Circus Festival of Italy – City of Latina, has decided to suspend the 2017 edition of the Festival, and use this year to put together a reliable and efficient organisational committee, whilst continuing to recognise the complexities of the administrative challenges facing the various Italian public authorities who have routinely sustained the Festival in its past editions.

Despite our great regret for this unexpected and unwanted ‘stop’, which we imagine will also be sad news for the many fans around the world of the culture and traditions of the Circus, we aim to proceed with renewed and enthusiastic determination to plan ahead for October 2018 and the 19^th edition of the International Circus Festival of Italy – City of Latina.

We sincerely thank performers, technicians, and everyone who, in any way, cares about the Festival, including our loyal audiences, for their continued support and appreciation, and we invite them to continue to love and support the Circus and its historic traditions, secure in the knowledge that we will all meet again in 2018 in the spirit of friendship and cooperation that the Circus inspires.
