Countdown: - 1 giorno al Festival

A Latina si respira l’aria di una grande vigilia. Nella cittadella del Festival allestita in via Rossetti proseguono giorno e notte le prove degli spettacoli. Giovedì il debutto ufficiale; oggi pomeriggio una speciale anticipazione in una location d’eccezione.

21 numeri in competizione, 14 nazioni rappresentate, 2 ospiti d’onore fuori concorso, i Fratelli Pellegrini e Vinicio Canestrelli Togni, 15 giurati tecnici, 13 giurati della critica: questi i numeri di una manifestazione colossale che sta scaldando i motori.

Fissato per domani, Giovedì 13 alle ore 21, l’atteso spettacolo di apertura del Festival. Il botteghino in via Rossetti è costantemente operativo. Infoline 346.2491197.

Una piccola anticipazione pubblica è prevista per il pomeriggio di oggi, Mercoledì, alle ore 17.15 in piazza San Marco a Latina: gli artisti del Festival, di fronte alla Cattedrale dedicata a Don Bosco, patrono dei circensi, offriranno un breve pout-pourri della loro Arte; si tratta di una speciale preghiera ecumenica con la quale dare avvio alla manifestazione rimarcando la capacità che il Circo ha di unire popoli e culture differenti.

Da non perdere poi, Venerdì 14 alle ore 18.30 il “Caffè letterario a tema circense” condotto nelle strutture del Festival dalla brillante Dina Tomezzoli: una bella occasione per godere pienamente della cultura circense così come ci viene raccontata dall’editoria di settore. Ingresso libero.

Countdown: - 1 day to the Festival

You can feel the excitement in the air at Latina, as rehearsals continue day and night under the big top in Via Rossetti. The first official show is on Thursday, but there will be a small sample this afternoon in a special place.

21 competing numbers, 14 nations represented, 2 non-competing special guests, the Pellegrini Brothers and Vinicio Canestrelli Togni, 15 technical judges, and 13 ‘critic’ judges: these are the numbers that make up the whole of a colossal event that’s gearing up and ready to go!

The opening show is on Thursday, October 13 at 9pm. The ticket office is in Via Rossetti and open all day. For further information please call 346.2491197.

This afternoon, Wednesday, there will be a small public preview at Piazza San Marco in Latina at 5.15pm, where some performers from the Festival will be performing short excerpts from their numbers in front of the city’s cathedral, marking an ecumenical gathering aimed at starting off the event whilst underlining the ability of the Circus to unite different peoples and cultures.

Another unmissable event is the ‘Literary Café’, which will take place within the actual foyer of the Festival on Friday October 14 at 6.30pm. Conducted by the vibrant journalist Dina Tomezzoli, it promises to be an enjoyable way to learn about Circus culture through books and other printed matter. Entrance is free.
