Countdown: - 29 giorni al Festival

Presentata oggi la locandina ufficiale dell’imminente 18ª edizione del Festival: un’esplosione di colori e tanti significati da scoprire nella pregevole opera realizzata su tela dall’artista Elena Zaïka.

Già da due anni il “visual” dell’International Circus Festival of Italy ha assunto la connotazione di vera ed attesa opera d’arte, unica ed esclusiva; una scelta iconografica che, nelle intenzioni degli organizzatori, intende comunicare la ricchezza della kermesse circense e le sue peculiarità: l’incontro tra i popoli e le nazioni, la volontà di comunicare gioia, l’intenzione di contaminare in modo opportuno tradizione ed innovazione così come le discipline circensi con le altre forme di espressione artistica. Elena Zaïka ha sapientemente interpretato tali auspici e li ha trasferiti su tela. Il risultato è sorprendente: un’opera densa di colori, volti da riconoscere, costumi di scena sontuosi, un’immagine complessiva che lascia con il fiato sospeso. Se di primo acchito il dipinto può apparire quasi caleidoscopico, ad uno sguardo più attento non sfugge quella fitta serie di particolari, nessuno lì per caso, capaci di evocare, ed in certa misura anticipare, i tratti di una edizione che si annuncia spettacolare. Elena Zaïka non è nuova a simili exploit: l’artista ucraina è nota al mondo del Circo per aver realizzato locandine, trofei e persino francobolli per il celeberrimo “Festival Internazionale del Circo di Monte-Carlo”.

Volti noti agli amanti del Circo trovano spazio nel bel lavoro della Zaïka; sono i volti dei due ospiti d’onore della manifestazione: il celeberrimo addestratore italiano Vinicio Canestrelli Togni, già caro al Festival di Latina, ed i fratelli Pellegrini, acrobati italiani di grande fama e popolarità. Nello sfarzo della locandina spicca il volto di Gia Eradze, notissimo artista, produttore e regista della Compagnia del Circo di Stato della Russia Rosgoscirk; la celebre compagnia, insieme con il Clown Sergei Prosvirnin e la cavalleria cosacca, sarà presente al Festival di Latina con alcune tra le sue più spettacolari attrazioni, tutte riconoscibili nel dipinto, in particolare nella sontuosa immagine della figura femminile centrale. Collocate in forma discreta, le due bandiere, italiana e russa, sono il segno dell’amicizia tra i due Paesi efficacemente espressa, in questo contesto, dalla co-produzione italo-russa dell’imminente edizione del Festival.

Countdown: - 29 days to the Festival

Today we are proud to present this official poster of the upcoming 18^th edition of the Festival: full of colour and with lots of details to discover in this superb painting by renowned artist Elena Zaïka.

For two years now, the poster of the International Circus Festival of Italy’s poster has been a real work of art, designed uniquely for us using pictures relative to each edition, and intending to convey the rich variety of acts to be seen at the event, which has always defined itself by the encounter between various nations and cultures, and the aim to create happiness by a fusion of traditional circus arts and innovative artistic skills.

Elena Zaïka has cleverly interpreted our vision and expressed it in this wonderful canvas, and the result is a vivid depiction of well-known faces, fabulous costumes and superb animals. Although at a first glance it appears as a glorious burst of colour, a closer look will show the finer details, all carefully included to present this upcoming edition of the Festival. Elena Zaïka is not new to this art form: a Ukrainian artist, she is well-known in the Cjrcus world for her many poster designs, award designs, and even stamp designs for the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo.

Famous faces from the Circus world can be recognised in this work of art: they are the guest artists of this year’s event: Italian animal trainer Vinicio Canestrelli Togni, already a firm favourite at the Festival, and the Pellegrini Brothers, world-famous and very popular Italian acrobats. Also represented is the face of Gia Eradze, renowned performer, producer and director at the Rosgoscirk State Circus Company of Russia, which will be at the Festival with clown Sergei Prosvirnin and the cossack horsewomen, representing some of the most spectacular acts from the company. All these people are shown in this gorgeous painting, which has as its focal point a beautiful female image. Visible at each side, we can also see the flags of Italy and Russia, a sign of the friendship between the two countries, which is also expressed by the co-production this upcoming Festival in partnership between Italy and Russia.
