A Latina, dal 13 al 17 Ottobre, lo Chapiteau dell’International Circus Festival of Italy ospiterà il grande addestratore Vinicio Canestrelli Togni, illustre rappresentante della famiglia di Lidia Togni, icona storica e leggendaria del Circo italiano. A Vinicio saranno riservati quest’anno gli onori che la pista del Festival tributa ai suoi ospiti più celebri.

È ormai tradizione che le più grandi famiglie del Circo italiano ed internazionale rendano omaggio all’International Circus Festival of Italy partecipando in qualità di ospiti d’onore fuori concorso. In occasione dell’imminente diciottesima edizione, oltre alla già annunciata partecipazione straordinaria dei fratelli Pellegrini, Vinicio Canestrelli Togni sarà fra le “Stelle del Circo” in pista a Latina.

La più autentica cultura del Circo, la ricchezza dell’antica tradizione circense italiana, il prestigio di una grande famiglia di artisti, l’esaltazione del rapporto uomo – animali: con Vinicio Canestrelli Togni si realizza l’incanto. Vinicio è il più giovane dei figli di Lidia Togni, Signora del Circo italiano. Padre di due bambini, Vinicio Togni è Direttore Artistico del Circo Nazionale Lidia Togni. Educato fin dalla più tenera età all’amore per gli animali, Vinicio Canestrelli Togni ha ben presto individuato i cavalli ed i grandi felini quali propri compagni di viaggio e di lavoro, al punto da dirsene oggi decisamente innamorato. All’età di dodici anni ha esordito come addestratore portando in pista un numero di pony Shetland. Trentacinque anni più tardi Vinicio Canestrelli Togni può vantare di aver allestito la più grande giostra equestre mai vista nella pista di un Circo: risale al 2012 la sua partecipazione alla 14^ edizione del Festival di Latina con una performance sublime, pregna di sentimenti di autentica reciprocità tra uomo e animale. Quella stessa giostra ha assicurato a Vinicio il “clown d’argento” nel 2014 al prestigioso Festival Internazionale del Circo di Monte-Carlo. A distanza di quattro anni Vinicio Canestrelli Togni torna a Latina con un numero di grandi felini: con lui sei leonesse ed un leone, tre di loro dal mantello bianco, un fenotipo raro e magnifico nella specie Panthera leo, legato all’espressione di un gene recessivo. All’addestratore ed all’artista Vinicio Canestrelli Togni è riconosciuta universalmente la straordinaria capacità di stabilire con gli animali un rapporto di reciproco affidamento; al tempo stesso Vinicio eccelle per la sua straordinaria generosità e grande umiltà; è così che quando competenze ed abilità si coniugano con le doti umane ci si approssima decisamente alla dimensione del mito.

The Big Top of the International Circus Festival of Italy at Latina will be host, from October 13 to 17, to the renowned animal trainer Vinicio Canestrelli Togni, representing the legendary Italian family of Lidia Togni as a special guest star.

It has become a tradition that the most famous Italian and international Circus families grace the International Circus Festival of Italy with their presence as non-competing performers. At the upcoming 18^th edition, along with the previously announced special appearance of the Pellegrini Brothers, Vinicio Canestrelli Togni will be amongst the ‘Circus Stars’ in the ring at Latina.

With the presence of Vinicio Togni Canestrelli at this year’s Festival, audiences will experience not only the rich tradition of Italian circus, but also the prestige of a respected Circus family, and the ultimate in human-animal interaction: Vinicio Canestrelli Togni is the youngest child of famous lady of Italian Circus, Lidia Togni. The father of two children, Vinicio Togni is the Artistic Director of the Circo Nazionale Lidia Togni. Brought up from infancy with love and respect for animals, Vinicio Canestrelli Togni soon focused his interest on horses and big cats as his preferred professional companions, and loves his animals deeply. He made his début as an animal trainer at twelve years of age, with a number that included a Shetland pony. Thirty-five years later Vinicio Canestrelli Togni can claim to have executed the largest ‘merry-go-round’ of horses ever seen in a Circus ring: in 2012, at the 14^th edition of the International Circus Festival of Latina, in a superb performance that demonstrated the exquisite grace of true, reciprocal communication between man and horse; that same number went on to earn Vinicio the ‘Clown d’Argent’ at the 2014 edition of the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo. Vinicio Canestrelli Togni returns to Latina four years later with a big cat number: He will be working with six lionesses and a lion, three of which with a white coat deriving from a recessive gene of the Panthera leo species. Vinicio Canestrelli Togni is universally known for his ability to establish a good and trusting working rapport with animals, at the same time demonstrating his innate generosity and humility; with his artistic competence and his human kindness his performance is always that of a real star!
